The team from the Faculty of Information Technology at the University “Mediterranean” Podgorica, consisting of eight professors, associates, and students, visited the Technical University of Sofia from September 24 to 28, where the final meeting of the Erasmus+ project IoT Green Transformation for Academic Society and Business Oriented Ecosystem in Western Balkans (iot-eco.eu) was held.
During the meeting, representatives of the partner institutions summarized the project results, exchanged experiences, and discussed opportunities for further cooperation in the field of the Internet of Things and digital technologies for environmental protection. Over the past three years, the project has enabled important activities for both academic staff and students. In addition to professors, 20 FIT students participated in three specialized trainings (organized at TU Graz, the University of Patras, and TU Sofia) and in the summer school at UBT in Pristina, significantly contributing to the strengthening of professional capacities and the development of participants’ competencies.
Among others, Assoc. Prof. Velimir Strugar, PhD, delivered a lecture on Cybersecurity Challenges in Modern Smart Grids, highlighting the importance of information security in modern smart grids and presenting the main challenges and development directions in this field.
The participation of FIT students in this event was a valuable experience, as they had the opportunity to directly collaborate with colleagues from partner institutions, take part in discussions, and enhance their knowledge and skills in this interdisciplinary field.
