Prof. John McGrory guest lecture

At the Faculty of Information Technology, University “Mediterranean” Podgorica, a guest lecture by Dr. John McGrory entitled “Human Factors, Subliminal Triggers, Interface Ergonomics Combined with Ethical Persuasion and Influence Science” was held on Wednesday, May 13.

The lecture focused on the application of Human Factors principles, interface ergonomics, and ethical persuasive communication in the development of software systems, documents, user interfaces, and various technological solutions. Particular emphasis was placed on understanding how users perceive and interact with digital systems, as well as on improving user experience through an interdisciplinary approach that combines technical disciplines with visual arts.

Dr. McGrory presented numerous practical examples related to Human-Machine Interface (HMI) systems, SCADA environments, document design, and digital platforms, highlighting the importance of intuitive and functional design in improving efficiency, usability, and operational compliance.

The lecture was attended by undergraduate and master’s students, as well as academic staff members, who had the opportunity to learn about contemporary approaches to user experience design and the application of Human Factors in various fields of engineering and information technologies.
